Hair yesterday, gone today
It is easier to be wise for others than for ourselves.Francois De La Rochefoucauld
The art of being wise is knowing what to overlook.William James
The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others.Solomon Ibn Gabriol
Years teach us more than books.Berthold Auerbach
The month is coming to an end.
Pay from my part time job has already been cashed in.
The job search continues.
Depressing as it is at time, it shall continue.
Cannot give up.
Will not give up.
I refuse to give up.
Been doing a lot of things within the month to keep myself occupied in the mean time:
WWS school programs
Out with TKD kiddos
Supplementary grading
Career fair
Dinner with relatives
Outings with Hong Yeol, Kelly, TKM and YKM.
Cut my hair
Fell sick… still in that mode at the moment
Running around like a headless chicken as usual
Poomsae refresher course
Tuition sessions
Shopping
The normal process of my body is to fall sick when I have an irregular schedule.
I pray that the pattern ends very soon.
Sunday service yesterday was a different from my normal.
Why?
Because I was late for service.
Yes, for the first time in many years, I was late for service. So late in fact, that I missed out on more than half of Ps Peter’s sermon. X.x
Spent most of the service coughing and trying not to cough.
Sitting behind Sera who was also coughing and realized that a lot of people are also falling sick.
It must be a big bug going around… yuck…
Headed off to Trinity @ Paya Lebar to see the FunkB shop.
I had wanted to buy some shirts but the store only accepted Visa (which I do not have) and cash (that too I was not in possession of). -.-lll
The good thing was that they were kind enough to reserve the t-shirts I want for me. I shall pick them up within the week and add them to my ever-growing collection of shirts in the cupboard. Fret not, I have already started the dumping of older shirts in order to make way for the newbies =]
Made for home and lunch before heading out again for training @ Kovan.
Coughing is still a big pain.
Especially when I cough until my sides hurt and feel like I am going to hurl with the next heave of my lungs.
If I am not wrong, there is a strip in Liberty Meadows where the pig coughs his lungs out and the dog runs away with it… doesn’t seem that funny at the moment.. -.-
That said, I would like to make sure I get my ‘to-do’ list over and done with by today… so it’s time for me to sign off and dive into work.
The joy of the Lord is my strength!
^-^
